All Souls Serve

All Souls Serve is the banner under which we engage a range of opportunities to serve the world as individuals and as a parish. Here are some opportunities to serve:

Our Partner Parish

Iglesia Episcopal Jesus Nazareno
Santa Clara, Cuba

In 2018 The Episcopal Church of Cuba was formally reunited with the Episcopal Church based here in the U.S. At that time an effort was launched to partner the 46 Episcopal churches in Cuba with churches in the U.S. These partnerships are intended to create opportunities for Cuban and American Episcopalians to meet one another, pray and worship together and for one another, and bring much needed financial resources to help rebuild the Episcopal churches of Cuba after several decades when church participation and investment was not possible.  All Souls has partnered with the Episcopal Church of Jesus of Nazareth, in Santa Clara, which we are helping reopen.

What can you do?

Pray for the Episcopal Church of Cuba, their bishop, Griselda, our parish in Santa Clara, and its priest, Gerardo. Pray for patience, endurance, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their ministry, and enthusiasm, understanding, and generosity as we build relationships of mutual love and support.

Give toward our goal of raising an additional $10,000 or as we gather items to take with us on our next trip. Financial contributions should be made to All Souls and marked for the "Cuba Fund." Watch for The Weekly for news about the specific items we will be collecting this fall or contact parishioner Stefanie Vestal.

Go to Cuba! Our next trip is scheduled for January 3-7, 2020. Space is limited and travelers must be confirmed at least three months in advance so that religious visas can be secured. If you're interested in going on this or a future trip, contact parishioner Wynsor Taylor.

Clothing Donations

The men of Christ House are especially in need of large men's white underwear briefs (new only), 2XL and 3XL white undershirts, sweatpants (new or gently used, especially large), jeans (new or gently used, all size), and slip on shower shoes (new or gently used). You can also purchase additional needed items for Christ House through their Amazon Wish List.

Samaritan Ministry also appreciates donations of professional clothing for women.

Please place donations in the marked bins in the Undercroft.

Food Bank PhotoFood & Toiletry Collections

We are collecting food for the Haydaris, one of our refugee families. Place rice, beans/lentils, breakfast cereal, baking ingredients, spices, canned tomatoes, canned tuna, and olive oil/cooking oil in the marked bin in the undercroft. Additionally, toiletries and other non-perishable food donations can be placed in a separate bin marked for Samaritan Ministry.
