World Changers/P2 Combo Project Report

We have now completed another World Changers/P2 Combo Project.  During this week nine houses were repaired and completed.  The projects through the years have touched the lives of literally thousands of people.  We also had six Ministry sites.

It is impossible to complete a project the size of this without the help and support of many people.  I want to personally thank Fleming Baptist Church, and the staff for providing their facilities for this year World Changers/P2 Combo Project.  I also need to thank the kitchen staff for preparing and serving the meals every day.  They got up at 4:00 a.m. to be ready for breakfast by 6:00 a.m. and back in the afternoon 2:30 p.m. to have dinner at 6:00 p.m.  My thanks to Susan & Bobby Perkins; Steve & Gail Griner; Deborah Canuette; Zack, Cassidy, and Bobbie Canuette; Danier, Trey, and Lauren Caines; Erin Holley; Bobby, Anna Beth, Jackson and Preston Perkins; Cathy Boudreaux; and Debra Williams.  A special thanks to the churches that provided a meal each day at lunch for our Construction Crews:  Blythe, Fleming, Hephzibah, Hillcrest, Hopeful, Open Door, Miracle, Whispering Pines, and Windsor Spring. A special thanks to the churches that provided a meal each day at lunch for our Mission Crews: Dayspring, New Beginnings, and The Hill taking care of the Church Plants.  Thank you for all the Prayer Warriors.

We have been very fortunate over the years not to have any major accidents, but just in case, we have always had a nurse that has been willing to be available.  This year I want to thank Debra Williams and Tim Willis serving in this capacity.  Thank you to Dr. Dwayne Boudreaux as Ministry Coordinator, Claude Gore as Project Coordinator, Jody Stevens, Construction Coordinator, and Gail Griner who served as our Associational Coordinator. Gail was a tremendous help in recruiting the churches and other personnel to complete the staffing of this year’s World Changers/P2 Combo Project.  I would like to thank Susan Perkins for putting together the City Experience and getting everything donated, so the participants did not have to pay extra.  Thanks to everyone for a job well done.

Reciprocating Partners: Greenbrier Birthing Center is located in Denmar, WV; the MINT Program, Mothers and Infants Nurturing Together, is a Community Corrections Center contracted under the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  This program assists pregnant federal offenders making a transition from pregnancy to motherhood.  The facility is located in the Appalachian Mountains in Pocahontas County near the small town of Hillsboro, WV.  Their goal is, that through their program, mother and infant bonding will occur and encourage a mother's desire to provide a stable home environment, free of drugs and other negative stimuli.

The Augusta Baptist Association will have a team going up to West Virginia July 14-22.  We will be collecting baby items (clothes, formula, diapers, etc.), maternity clothes, and items for the ladies to take to the Greenbrier Birthing Center starting on July 1.   If you would like to help, please bring donated items to The Baptist Center, 1120 Marks Church Road, Augusta, GA  30909.  You can drop them off during regular business hours: Monday - Thursday between 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 a.m.  The deadline will be July 11, 2017. A Missionary's Message

Please Pray: For me and our mission teams going to West Virginia during July 14-22; we have three separate teams going. We will be working on mission in The Coalfields Baptist Association and The Allegheny Association of Southern Baptist Churches. I will be in West Virginia for approximately 8 days. We will be conducting VBS ministries, working on light construction, giving out backpacks, delivering clothes, and donating baby item to mothers in prison. I am so blessed to represent our Baptist Association as your Association Missionary Minister and help reach out to continually teach disciples, and fervently preach to the churches of West Virginia. We as an Association steadily are engaged in Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20 and Revelation 14:6-7 as a Great Commission Association of Baptist Church. Thank you for your prayers and financial support of our Baptist Association.

Praise the Lord:  Thank you to all our prayer partners; supporting churches, our host church, Fleming Baptist Church, Summer World Changers and P/2 staff, and the City official of Augusta. We had a great week of mission work and ministry events. The locations of our ministry sites were: 2 in Grovetown; 1 in Hephzibah; 1 in Sand Hill Community; 1 in South Augusta, and 1 in Augusta. We spread many gospel tracts; handed out Bibles; many Gospel presentations were given; two training levels of “3 Circles: Life Conversation Guide and Church Planting Missions,” were conducted.  God blessed us with planting many seeds and seeing fruit harvested in His harvest. We had 27 confirmed Professions of Faith, 1 young man surrender to be a Church Planter, and several rededications.

Praise the Lord: Captain James Perkins, NFPA Certified Fire Plan Examiner stated the following about The Augusta Mission Center, our campus and the building at 2877 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia: “I have conducted a code compliance check of the property and deem that according to the age of the building as built it is within code for the time of construction.” His three suggestions were: 1.) fire extinguishers need to be within code (maintained and charged); 2.) lighted exit signs installed (hard wired with battery backup); 3.) lighting in stairs wells need to be installed. All three buildings can be “utilized for missions and ministry.”

Pathways begins again on August 15 and the next Pastor’s Round Table is August 8th. We are continuing to study about revival, pray about revival, and call on the Lord to send a great revival before He returns for His Church. The Round Table discuss will be, “Dealing with Disruptive People and Situations.” We will continue to have pastor’s small groups and pastor’s support groups for as long as pastors attend. Also, I am available for counseling one-on-one with pastors.

In His Secure Grip,

 Dr. “B”
