Praying for Revival!

Each Thursday at 10:30 AM, pastors & staff from across the CSRA gather to pray for revival in our lives, in our churches, in our communities, and in our country.   Locations change each week, so check the information on page two or contact the Association’s office at 706 736-8705.  If you would like your church to host a prayer meeting, please contact Russell Davis at Parkway Baptist (706 650-1493) or Kevin Steele at National Hills Baptist (706 738-1620).

AUGUSTA PROJECT

Associational Mission Trips in July: The time to plan a trip is coming to an end. The backpack information will be sent out soon. Our partners delivered 3,018 backpacks last year. Let us pray for 3,250-3,500 for this year.

The Augusta Mission Center: Tours of the campus can be scheduled with Cyndy Lifsey (706 736-8705). You can VISIT the campus and pray over the building and grounds anytime, at 2877 Lumpkin Road, Augusta. You will notice the size of the three building and the size of the campus grounds and visualize a mission lab and a Blue Sky Training Institute (specific information available upon request).

If your church would like to organize/participate in a mission activity or a work day at the mission center, please contact Gail Griner, (706 736-8705), for more details.

Blue Sky Vison: The Augusta Mission Lab is still being planned for 2018. We are still working on details and preparing the facility to house the lab. We are praying for partners and donors to give specifically to the Augusta Mission Center. The Blue Sky Institute is still in the planning stage.

A Missionary's Message

City Serve and the Augusta Mission Center: The day of service included 37 sites and approximately 1,100 volunteer. A special thank you goes out to Stephen Newman, coordinator for South Augusta, and his team. The Augusta Mission Center had approximately 600-650 man-hours donated on April 29th. Both buildings and grounds benefitted from all the labor and playground equipment was donated and installed. Also, neighborhood children were ministered to by a group of volunteers. A great day of service to many communities.

Praying for Revival: We are steadily praying for revival. Pastors meet at a different church every Thursday, 10:30 a.m. Some pastors go to lunch, Dutch Treat, after praying. I make every meeting I can as my schedule allows. Russell Davis and Kevin Steele are the key contacts; if you desire a revival prayer meeting to be conducted at your church, please contact them.

BBQ and tour the A.M.C.: We had a great meeting with approximately 64 people in attendance. Our staff conducted several tours of the campus. Our first group met at 11:30 and was a combination of the Augusta Mission Center Board of Directors, Budget and Finance Committee, and the A.M.C budget team. Many pastors, church staff members, and church members toured with their respective groups interested in missions. An information packet is available to pastors, missions staff, and mission’s leadership of our churches for those who could not attend.

Visiting our churches: I am visiting as many churches as possible in 2017-2018. I have visited 29 churches (during worship services or prayer meetings) so far in 2017. If you need me, call me; if I do not hear from you, then I will see you as I make my rounds around our four counties. Also, I visit our churches as my schedule allows at Homecomings, Revivals, Church Anniversaries, Wild Game Suppers, Special Fellowships, Building Dedications, Pastor Installments, and other special events and occasions. Sometimes I help conduct the service and sometimes I just attend.

Association Ministries and your Missionary: We offer various trainings and services like pulpit search committee training; receiving and passing on resume’ profiles; proactive prayer walking training; pastor’s small groups support; church and pastors support; cross cultural opportunities in missions and ministries; reciprocating partnerships (West Virginia); ministry experiences at a ministry center and a mission center; neutral site meeting place for prospective ministers and church search committees; and too many other ministries to list. I am available for pulpit supply, revivals, training seminars, evangelism workshops, church field evaluations (windshield surveys, and demographic study conferences), church revitalization help, and consultation on reducing “lostness” in your church fields, etc. Note: I utilize our G.B.M.B. missionaries for some specific help for our Association of Baptist Churches. We partnered with them on some of our strategic components and essential elements.

In His Secure Grip,

 Dr. “B”
