Presbyterian Women is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) of more than 300,000 women.
The PW Purpose:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
- to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study,
- to support the mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice and peace, and
- to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and witnesses to the promise of God’s Kingdom.
The programming and resource options for the organization offers a variety of ways for women to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community. The way we carry out our mission at Balmoral varies from time to time, depending on the areas of need and specific interests of the members at any given time.
The Balmoral PW chapter holds monthly Bible Study from the Horizons Presbyterian publication from September through May each year on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. After the study we have refreshments and fellowship and then gather for our monthly business meeting. We are finished by 12:30 pm. During the summer months we continue to meet for a brown-bag lunch on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
We welcome new members any time during the year! Come check us out!
