The Lenten Season is a time of preparation, reflection, growth and change. The word Lent comes from the Anglo-Saxon word that means "spring" or "springtime." Taken literally, the word means that this is the time of year when the days lengthen.
Lent is a 40 day long period, not counting Sundays, leading up to Easter Sunday. All Sundays are considered "little Easters," celebrating the resurrection.
Ash Wednesday Services with the imposition of ashes will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 12:00 noon in Triplett Hall and 6:30 pm in the sanctuary.
The Journey of Faith series on Sunday evenings will begin on February 26 at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Ladies of Lee
The Ladies of Lee, under the direction of Dr. Loralee Songer, will provide music for the sanctuary services on February 26. Make plans to attend!
