Awana is an international youth program offered by Calvary Baptist Church as a positive influence in the development of young people. The AWANA name is derived from an idea in the Bible found in II Timothy 2:15 which reads, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."
The purpose of Upward Basketball at Calvary Baptist Church is to help children build character and grow in their understanding and enjoyment of basketball or cheerleading. Upward is different than most community leagues:
