Visit the US-Mexico Border This Summer with a Global Mission Team from Central!

 

WHERE?  Frontera de Cristo Mission in Agua Prieta, Mexico

WHO?  A team of 15 adults from Central hosted by our partners, PCUSA Mission Coworkers Mark Adams and Miriam Maldonado Escobar. 

WHEN?  The last week in June, 6/23-6/29, 2012.

WHAT?  Build relationships with our mission partners and members of the Lily of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Agua Prieta.  Learn about immigration, border policy, economic justice, human rights issues, and volunteer with the Migrant Resource Center, Café Justo, Agua Para La Vida, Humane Borders, and more. 

Why?  Witness work for transformation, justice, and peace by people of faith across borders.

The 2012 Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study

The Mission Yearbook, the quintessential mission resource, has brought the Presbyterian family together daily for prayer and study for over 117 years. The stories in the 2012 Mission Yearbook were gathered around the prayer of Paul for the Colossians, that these faithful brothers and sisters would bear fruit and grow in the knowledge of God (1:10).

 Coffee, tea, cocoa, and chocolate candy for sale the third Sunday of the month
Refugee Resettlement Volunteer help, home furnishings and financial support through the locally based RRISA and Refugee Family Services

 Host students during holidays through the locally based AMIS
Sign up for the Amigo program, spending time with students from other countries during their stay in Atlanta while attending a local university
Host the annual December holiday luncheon for Atlanta’s AMIS program
