The Moments of Joy Eucharist is a very simple liturgy especially planned for those with dementia and their friends, family and caregivers. It takes place each last Sunday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. All are welcome to this liturgy which lasts about thirty minutes and utilizes familiar Gospel hymns sung with the piano. All denominations welcome.
5:30 p.m. • Taizé Service (Third Sunday of the Month)
Taizé is the name of a quiet, candlelit service of chants, prayers and readings that takes place each third Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. in the church. The name comes from the town in France where, following World War II, a group of men set up an ecumenical religious community. One of the members of the community soon began to compose the simple chants that came to form the centerpiece of worship in the community, which over the years has drawn thousands of people, mostly young, to experience the beauty of their candlelit worship. This service is very contemplative and has no sermon.
