MUSIC AT EMANUEL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH

Jubilation Singers – sing for the 9:00 am service and rehearse on Wednesday nights from 7:30 until 9:00 pm from September 1 until May 31.

Membership in the Jubilation Singers is open to anyone who has interest in serving the church in this way.  Simply contact the Director of Music and Worship.

There is ample opportunity for those who wish to chant psalms, sing solos or serve as assisting ministers.  Quartets, trios and similar chamber groups are also encouraged.

Heavenly Ringers Handbell Choir meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 until 7:15 pm and plays on the 4th Sunday of each month from September 1 until May 31.  The Ringers combine with the choral group on occasion.  Emanuel’s owns a 5-octave set of Schulmerich handbells.  Membership in the Heavenly Ringers can be secured by visiting with the Director of Music and Worship.

Music for Children is offered by various members of the music ministry as a component of the Sunday School hour.  During the summers, Emanuel’s offers a musical and a handbell camp for those who are excited about such activities.

Instrumental Ensembles are organized on an as-needed basis.  Solos and ensembles of an instrumental nature are encouraged.

The Organ - Emanuel’s possesses a thirty-rank tracker pipe organ built by Robert Sipe of Dallas, Texas.  A summer Organ Experience is offered to those in the church and the community who are interested in learning about the “King of Instruments.”

A number of Emanuel’s members serve as accompanists at the various nursing home and retirement center communion services offered during the year.
