Any diocese that has held one weekend following the authentic Cursillo method and who contributes to the support of the National Episcopal Cursillo on a yearly basis becomes an affiliated diocese and is eligible to vote.

How is the National Episcopal Cursillo (NEC) run? Organizationally, the National Episcopal Cursillo (NEC) consists of the General Council and the National Episcopal Cursillo Committee (NECC).

The General Council meets once per year (fourth quarter) at the National Episcopal Cursillo Seminar (NECS). Each affiliated diocese which satisfies the voting requirements has one vote at the General Council sessions as well as any District meetings that may be held.

The National Episcopal Cursillo Committee (NECC) is made up of District representatives elected at the District meetings of the General Council. There is one clergy person, one lay man and one lay woman from each district. These representatives, meeting quarterly, become the operating body of the NEC, handling all business as required throughout the year.

In addition to the 15 District representatives, the NECC also includes the following Ex-Officio members: The President, the Bishop Liaison, the Treasurer and the Office Administrator. The Support Team is made up with the 4th Day Magazine Editor, the NECC Veterans Coordinator, the National ECLW Coordinator and the Webmaster. Officers are elected at the Summer Quarterly meeting and presented to the General Council in the Fall.

To carry out the business of NEC, the NECC has established the following sub-committees.

* The Publication and Communication Sub-Committee develops, maintains, and publishes NEC materials, oversees the editing and publishing of the 4th Day Magazine, and recommends policies related to the sales and distribution of NEC materials through the National Office.

* The Seminar Sub-Committee plans, coordinates, and implements the National Episcopal Cursillo Seminar (NECS) in conjunction with the host diocesan community.

* The Executive Sub-Committee always consisting of the President, President Elect, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, and ex-officio members establishes meeting dates and locations, and recommends policy.
