PURPOSE
- To provide an explanation of the overall purpose and structure of the Cursillo Movement to all the clergy of the diocese.
- To affirm those perceptions and experiences which are in accordance with the Bishop's Pastoral Plan.
- To demonstrate that Cursillo is a "Movement of the Church" that can empower the church to fulfill its apostolic mission.
- To clearly emphasize the vital role that clergy play in all phases of Cursillo.
- To encourage straightforward questions and honest answers concerning Cursillo.
WHAT IS COVERED
The Clergy Information Day is intended to be presented during the week. The Bishop is encouraged to invite the clergy of the diocese. The 4-hour Workshop consists of:
1. Four talks
- What is Cursillo
- The History of Cursillo
- The Cursillo Experience
- The Role of the Clergy in Cursillo
2. A time for questions and answers is provided to clarify the information presented in the workshop.
3. A time for the Bishop to discuss the diocesan plans to use Cursillo as a tool for evangelism.
WHO LEADS A CID-C The team for Cursillo Information Day - Clergy is established by the Cursillo Leaders Development Subcommittee of the NECC.
The team consists of:
- One layperson from outside the diocese to serve as team leader.
- One or more clergy from within the diocese who are well versed in the Cursillo Movement. If none are available within the diocese, a clergy person will be selected from outside the diocese. The Bishop and the Diocesan Spiritual Advisor are the preferred clergy for the workshop.
- One layperson from the diocese, preferably the Lay Director.
