The Pledge of Nonviolence

The Pledge of Nonviolence

The 188th Convention of the Diocese of North Carolina in 2004 passed a resolution (2004-5), “On Adoption of the Pledge of Nonviolence from the Institute for Peace and Justice.”

Through this resolution the Convention joined with the 73rd General Convention of the Episcopal Church USA in calling on parishes and parishioners in this Diocese to become “a model for peace-making” by adopting
“A Pledge of Nonviolence” as developed by the Institute for Peace and Justice.
