Kids of Compassion

amanda with open boxHow many times have you driven by someone holding a sign that says something like "HOMELESS. WILL WORK FOR FOOD"?  We are filled with compassion for these people and are compelled, even commanded by God through Scripture, to help.   But, we ask ourselves, what is the best way to help?

Amanda Denkler answered this question with the birth of the "Kids of Compassion" shoe box ministry. The shoe boxes are filled with nutritional , non-perishable food products, water and toiletry items.  It's a great answer for someone who needs a meal and a little extra something.   By keeping boxes in our cars, we are ready to help when the need is present.   We have a convenient package all ready for that person.

Over 700 boxes of supplies and food have been passed through open car windows to help and encourage people in need.
