Community Groups

Second Sunday

Are you newer to FBCG? Have you been attending for awhile but just haven't been able to "connect" yet? Would you like the opportunity to meet some people from FBCG that live near you?

What ever your situation, we want to invite you to a new opportunity to get connected called "Second Sunday." On the second Sunday of April a number of FBCG families will be hosting an informal luncheon in their homes from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. This is a family event, so kids are welcome. We want to help our growing congregation get to know each other better! Sounds simple and easy right? (That's the idea!)

Meets

Sunday, April 13, 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.

Choose the host home nearest you. So that the host home knows how to plan, please email to let them know if you are able to attend and to get directions and the complete address of your host home. You may also call the church office, 630.232.7068, to RSVP.

These groups typically are formed in the fall and spring through a sign up process. Marriage Groups are not intended to address deeply distressed marriages or to provide group therapy.

  • Purpose is to connect people to each other and to FBCG while enriching marriages through accountability and encouragement
  • Combination of DVD and workbook discussion guides
  • Meet 2x per month from October through late April
  • Not necessarily open

Connection Groups

Connection Groups are groups of 6-12 individuals (or couples) who meet together for six weeks for the purpose of taking a first step of connection to FBCG as a church family. Connection groups meet in homes on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. Connection Groups form in September – and then again in January/February.

  • Geographically and age-based (if possible)
  • Purpose is to connect people to each other, to FBCG and to God through sermon based curriculum
  • Meet 2x per month from October through late April
