Welcome to Women's Ministry at First Baptist. It is our mission to help women take their next step in knowing Jesus and making Him known. It is our goal as a ministry to equip, encourage and challenge you to do just that, experience Jesus in a personal and intimate way. Women wear so many hats, as mothers, wives, career women, daughters, caregivers and more. It is all too easy to find our identity and purpose through these roles but our identity is to be found through Christ.
I pray that as you attend worship services, Bible studies, conferences and retreats, they will help you to see yourself as a daughter of the risen Lord, created to worship and serve Him in unique and exciting ways! As you take your next step in knowing Jesus, I pray that you would first, be saved through Christ's loving and forgiving sacrifice on the cross. Secondly, live out your total and complete salvation in your everyday life! If I can be of any help in getting you connected to First Baptist Church, a Bible study or even help processing what God might be up to in your life, please feel free to contact me. May you experience God in amazing ways and may you never be the same because of it!

The Breakfast Club
Come and be a part of a great weekly local service opportunity. Every week, members of our church and otherchurches in our community go to the Stockton Shelter, located at 411 S. Harrison St. Over 350 men, women and children who are currently homeless are served breakfast in the name of Jesus. Your duties may vary, but the result is always the same, you go to bless others and are blessed beyond measure in return. This outreach is held every Saturday morning, 6:30am-9am at the Stockton Shelter. Come on out and be a part of something great!

The Bereavement committee:
The Bereavement Committee furnishes the meal at reception for the family and friends after a memorial service. It is so appreciated by the families. Knowing that one less thing they have to worry about. This meal usually consists of Sandwiches, salads, veggie trays, fruit trays, and desserts . These food items are provided by a list of people on the committee. Some prefer to just help by providing the food others help with both food, setup, serving and cleaning up afterwards. If you are interested in helping stop by the information center to sign up. Or have any questions call Eloise Frades. at 209 464-9645

American Baptist Women
Getting involved in ABW is a great way to serve others, both locally and internationally through your gifts and talents of sewing and a servant’s heart. Each Fellowship and Circle group work on their own projects throughout the year. But our ABW group here at First Baptist Church has a special project they are collectively working on. Their goal is to raise $6,000 to provide surgical care for 100 women in the Democratic Republic of Congo who have been stigmatized. Not only offering medical solutions, but by praying for this ministry which offers the love of Christ, bringing spiritual healing and renewal as well. If you would like to join a sewing circle, the best way to start is by first joining us at one of our monthly luncheons in the Parlor,
starting as 12:30pm.
April 19 – Installation: Leadership Team.
May 17 – Hostess: Asian Circle. Speaker:
Carol Miller, Health Ministry.
