FBC Youth Ministries
You're invited to be a part of our youth group. Classes and activities are available for grades 6-12.
At First Baptist Church, Taylor we value all teenagers that come into our sphere of influence, and help them form their identities as Christians through a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ.
We strive to do this in several ways here at First Baptist. Our ministry includes:
1. Regular gatherings of youth at youth group for times of fun, learning, and mutual support and encouragement as we make the journey of faith together. During the school year, most of these gatherings happen on Sunday afternoons.
2. Weekly Sunday School programs that help youth to go deeper in learning what it means to be a disciple, and what the Bible teaches. Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 am in the church youth lounge.
3. Participating in activities such as our annual mission trips or national conferences, youth conferences, and events in the local area. In past years we have been on mission trips to Arkansas and Alabama and even into Mexico.
4. Several events each year where we get together and just have a lot of good, clean wholesome fun in a safe environment. These events include but are not limited to things like Laser Tag, trips to Six Flags or Sea World and simpler activities like bowling or a game night at the church.
5. We strive to provide teens with relationships with caring adults who help plan and supervise programs, and who make themselves available to be caring and supportive mentors and friends to teenagers.
6. We encourage youth to take advantage of opportunities to participate in the entire life of the church through intergenerational activities as varied as leading singing, reading scripture, or running the sound in worship, and helping to lead the children's Vacation Bible School.
