Weekday Preschool

History and Philosophy

First Presbyterian Church Weekday Preschool was founded in 1948 by Dr. William Redd Turner, Senior Minister of First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Turner’s purpose in starting the Weekday Preschool was to demonstrate his love for children and to provide an outreach ministry to the Clinton community.  First Presbyterian Church Weekday Preschool Program exists to maximize the growth of the whole child: mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. It seeks to build a foundation for the future by working to develop each child’s self-esteem, to enhance the child’s ability to relate to others, and to enable the child to value a relationship with God.  First Presbyterian Church Weekday Preschool is open to all boys and girls ages two through four, regardless of race, religion, or national origin.
