The Kingdom Sunday School
What’s the Rationale?
Educators have discovered that children learn best through various interactive methods and activities linked to each child's learning style. Studies have also found that only 10 percent of the entire population learns best through reading and lecture. The Workshop Rotation Model of Sunday school uses interactive, multisensory learning experiences to help children experience the truth about God and Jesus firsthand.
How Does it Work?
Each week a “Mountaintop” meeting starts the program with fellowship with singing, scripture lesson review, and prayer time. During this special time, the children are learning to express their prayer concerns and joys and how to join in conversation with God within the fellowship of a Christian community. Student teams then visit one of the active workshops, or stations. Over a course of several weeks they will experience the same scripture lesson in five to six different environments. |

What are the Stations?
In Science Exploration, the students actively use science to aid in learning the Bible lesson.
Acts of Faith is a drama center that allows children to act out stories and characters from the Bible. Experiencing the story through drama or puppetry makes the Bible more real.
Children watch movies or videos in the movie setting of Paradise Pictures — complete with popcorn. The films enhance the biblical lessons.
Creation Station allows children to respond to what they are learning through different creative media such as clay, paints, and construction.
Kingdom.com uses the exciting environment of computers. The children explore Bible stories through computer games and activities in our always-expanding computer lab.
Mary and Martha’s Bed and Breakfast is the place to learn Bible navigation skills and play fun games to reinforce the lesson.

| Talented volunteer instructors lead the stations, and each age group is accompanied by dedicated shepherds who meet and greet the children. Parents and children are always welcome to visit the Kingdom, located on the upper level of the Christian Education Wing.
