Welcome to Parents' Day Out at First Presbyterian!

The PDO program at First Presbyterian was established in 1978, and has been serving families in the Northwest Suburbs for nearly 35 years! In fact, some of our first PDO students are now PDO parents themselves!

At Parents’ Day Out, loving and qualified staff cares for children from 6 months to 5 years of age. PDO is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Note: PDO is closed on Wednesday. You will be asked to indicate your order of preference for which day or days you would prefer to attend PDO. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The PDO day is somewhat structured, but allows for flexibility to accommodate the children’s needs. Time is provided for free play, crafts, music, stories, organized classroom activities, and activities in our gymnasium. Weather permitting, we take the children outside. In the morning, the children share a snack time together, which is provided by PDO. Children bring their own lunch and enjoy eating with their PDO friends.

Get on Wait List for PDO Summer Camp!

Great News! Parents’ Day Out (PDO) is launching a pilot PDO Summer Camp this June. Camp will run three days a week for four weeks (June 4-27). All children ages 2-5 years as of June 1, 2013, are welcome to attend.

Classes will be held from 9:00 am to noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You may enroll your children for one, two, or three days. The summer camp will offer children a structured, yet flexible environment that will allow them to create crafts, enjoy an outdoor activity, sing songs, eat a snack, read stories, and participate in free play with their new and old PDO friends.

The cost of PDO Summer Camp is just $20 per day or $80 for one day per week for the four-week session; $160 for two days per week for the four-week session; and $240 for three days per week for the four-week PDO Summer Camp. Payment is nonrefundable.

Register Now for 2013-2014

There is a $50 registration fee per child. This fee is nonrefundable. Registration fees are paid upon confirmation of placement in the program.

Tuition cost for the 2013-2014 school year will be $95 per month for each student enrolled to attend one day a week. Students enrolling for two days a week pay $190 per month. Students enrolling for three days a week pay $285 per month.
