Meet Rev. Samuel "Sam" Warner, our Pastor

A native North Carolinian born in Winston-Salem, Sam became our Pastor on January 19, 2005. Prior to coming to Belmont, he served as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Lumberton, NC (1994-2004) and Associate Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church, Richmond, VA (1991-1993). While raised United Methodist whose parents are now Southern Baptist, Sam was ordained in the Presbyterian Church USA on March 22, 1992 after graduating from Duke University and Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (now Union-PSCE). He has led Mission Trips to Mexico (1995, 1999), Jamaica (2002), Malawi (1999, 2003, 2005), Haiti (2003), and Guatemala (2005). Sam and his wife Mary met in college and they have two children, Grace and Jay.
