The Graceful Carpenters serve using their building gifts and talents at church and in the community.
This small group is made up of dedicated men and women with varied skill levels in a variety of building talents. New members are always welcome, including those looking to learn the skills associated with home and building maintenance, those looking to broaden their skills, and those who are skilled to help lead projects and to impart their skills to others.
Projects range from simple to fairly extensive remodeling; and may involve skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting to name a few. Most projects are initiated through the Board of Trustees to assure adequate resources are available. These resources include manpower, financing and material requirements.
Keeping in mind that most participants have jobs and families, project workdays are usually on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. and running until about noon. This allows team members the remainder of the weekend to spend with their families. Other days and times may be scheduled based on available workers and needs. Weekly project descriptions, scheduling and locations are announced through a weekly e-mail to all members.
