Lifelong Discipleship ...all in the context of Community
Intentional Outreach
Faithful Service
Engaging Worship

A LIFE Community is a gathering of people who meet regularly in homes or at Grace Chapel to experience the Christian life together.  These fellowship groups are Grace Chapel's primary way of building community in the midst of our large congregation.

Our life communities seek to develop "three-dimensional" life together, summarized by Caring, Growing and Making an Impact.  We gather together to care for one another, grow deeper in our faith, and make an impact in the world in which we live.

How can I join a LIFE Community?

If you are interested in joining a Grace Chapel LIFE Community, please contact Elsie Kitchen at ekitchen@grace.org or 781.862.8351 x2222 and indicate which group (town/day of the week).

How do I become a LIFE Community Leader?

At Grace Chapel we believe in the value of authentic community.  We express this value in both large and small ways.  Our large expression is the Sunday experience, including Worship, Children and Youth ministries, Adult Discipleship, the Crossroads Cafe and everything else that happens on Sunday.

Our small expression is best seen in LIFE Communities where we ask people to commit to meeting together to fulfill the three dimensional-life described above.  Care, grow, and impact is what it is about.  As a LIFE Community leader, you will have the opportunity and privilege of guiding a group of people into these three descriptions of a transformed life.

  1. Join a LIFE Community if you are not already in one.
  2. Pray about this role and how God wants to use you.
  3. Talk with your current LIFE Community Leader.
  4. Sign up and attend the LIFE Community New Leader Training Course.
The next LIFE Community New Leader Training Course will be held at 11:00 in the Adult Learning Center of the Lexington Campus.  The course runs for 7 weeks, and will begin on February 5, 2012.  Contact Elsie Kitchen to sign up.
  5. After being commissioned, fill your group through our LIFELink process.

LIFE Community Calendar

Many of our LIFE Communities follow this calendar throughout the year. Following this schedule will help your group to avoid conflicts with other church events.
