Unga Bunga Tribe / Youth Ministries

The Ungabunga Tribe Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:25 to 8:00 p.m., with a summer break. All youth in grades six to twelve are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Follow leaders Loni and Bobbi as they take you deep into the Bible, out into our community, and inside the life of the Church.


2019 Graduations

Sophia Sperduto will graduate from Pulaski High School in May of 2019, and will be attending UW-Stevens Point in the fall. She plans to major in Wildlife Ecology and minor in art. Sophia loves spending time outside camping, birdwatching, and at her grandparents' cabin.

Her love of art includes drawing, painting, and photography. Throughout her years of high school, Sophia has participated in many activities, including Girls Tennis, Yearbook Club, FFA, and Forensics. She has challenged herself with advanced classes and participation in National Honor Society. She volunteers her time as a summer school tennis coach and at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Her love of animals and art will continue to inspire her throughout the rest of her life and career.

David Young (DJ) will be graduating from Green Bay West High School and has been accepted at The University of Wisconsin Green Bay where he will study Psychology. While in school, DJ was active in Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band where he played trumpet. He also enjoyed the sciences, and the friendships he has developed throughout his school years. He enjoys traveling and new adventures, and he loves gaming with his friends.

DJ looks forward to this next chapter in his life.  He believes his faith, hard work, and his abilities will bring him success in his future endeavors.

Past Youth Events

2019-02-23 Deacon's meal at St. John's Homeless Shelter (1)February 22-23 30-Hour Famine/Youth Lock-In

The Unga Bunga Youth Group members grew closer to Christ and each other as they fasted together for 30 hours and raised funds to fight hunger. They began their fast at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22 and end with a simple supper break at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23. The group also helped prepare a meal for St. John’s Homeless Shelter as a service project during the famine. Money raised during the 30-Hour Famine went to the Pantry.

2018-06-28 Mission team to St. LouisIntergenerational Mission Trip to St. Louis

A group of Green Bay area Presbyterians (from First Pres and Oconto) traveled to St. Louis, staying at the mission house of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, and doing service work coordinated by AMEN Saint Louis.



Chinook, Montana Mission Trip

2018-06-12 to 19 MT mission trip team (3)-optBobbi Holl, George Hubbard, and Loni McCormick were the chaperones, and Sara Bostedt, Evan Hansen, Elizabeth Paag, and Zach Wittman were the youth on this mission trip. They painted a VFW that is also used as a food pantry and helped to scrub and clean the kitchen area of the building, as well as unloading a truck of pantry supplies that showed up. 2018 Graduations

2018 Ski Trip

One comment heard was "It was great weather, and so nice to be able to spend time with members of our sister church and get to know them!" The group again

In July, the Youth Group had a pool party - looks like they had a great time!

Each Spring, our youth group participates in the 30 Hour Famine, raising awareness and money to support ministries that focus on hunger-related issues.
