Acolyte – Arrives 30 minutes before weekend and holyday liturgies to prepare for the celebration of Eucharist, e.g. candles, hosts, wine, chalice, communion cups, lectionary, sacramentary, purificators, water cruet.  Also coordinates servers and cleans up after each liturgy.  Initial and ongoing training is provided; Serves every 2-3 weeks.

Art & Environment – Enhances our worship space for the various liturgical seasons, i.e. Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Ordinary Time.

Eucharistic Minister- Distributes the Body or Blood of Christ at weekend and holyday liturgies; Initial and ongoing training is provided; Serves every 2-3 weeks.

Funeral Minister- Assist families bury their loved ones as requested for a funeral during the day and/or evening, e.g. acolyte, lector, Eucharistic Minister.

Greeter –Welcomes those who come to pray, distributes prayer sheets, assists ushers as needed, and distributes bulletins; Serves 3-4 times a year.

Lector - Prepares and proclaims scripture and the prayers of the faithful at weekend and holyday liturgies; Serves 8-10 times a year.

Sacristy  – Cleans and prepares worship space for weekend and holyday liturgies; Wash and press liturgical linens used for worship; Serves 3 or 4 times a year.

Server – Fifth grade and older girls and boys serve at weekend and holyday liturgies; Serves 5-6 times a year.

Usher –Welcomes those who come to pray, assists in finding seating as needed, gathers the collection and brings it to the altar, directs the communion procession, provides assistance as needed, distributes bulletins, and insures the church is ready for the next service; Service frequency varies.   


Cantor - Leads the assembly’s singing and proclaims the psalms at weekend liturgies and special occasions. Audition and ongoing formation required.  Rehearsals are with the Director of Music and semi-annual gatherings.

Choir - Leads and enhances assembly’s singing at the 9:15 Sunday Mass & special liturgies. Rehearsals are held every Thursday, September-May at 7:15 – 9:00 pm. An ability to match pitch and sing well with others is required.

Contemporary Music Ministry- Leads and enhances the assembly at the 11:15 Sunday Mass & special liturgies with contemporary instrumentation and music.  Practices are Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  Audition and continued formation required.

Resurrection Choir - Leads and enhances assembly’s singing at funerals. We contact you via e-mail when there is a funeral mass planned. We appreciate your voice and presence as balm and comfort for those who may not be able to sing that day. Minister when you are able.

Hand Bell Choir – Rings hand bells for worship for Christmas and Easter seasons. Rehearsals are generally early on four Saturday mornings, four weeks before hand. Open to high school age or older who are able to read music.

Instrumentalist – Provides instrumental leadership during worship, working and rehearsing with the Director of Music. Some instruments lend themselves to seasonal or special occasions while others work every week.


Prayer Network – Prays for anyone requesting personal prayers for any reason.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Engages the power of prayer through the communion of parishioners who volunteer to produce a gift that is both tangible and spiritual, to bring ongoing comfort and support to individuals in need.  Blessed Prayer Shawls, scarfs and other items are created and distributed through this ministry.
