SBC Compensation Survey

Take a few minutes to help your church and all other church with the same size membership.

Take the 2012 SBC Compensation Survey

Why take the survey? Simply put, for the benefit of your church and churches similar to yours. The survey information is completely confidential.

When pastors and church staff take the salary survey, GuideStone then customized the data into useable reports and makes these reports available to church administrators, personnel/finance committees and minister search teams to determine adequate compensation for ministers and staff.

In 2010 IBSA had a higher number of survey participants which gave us a more accurate baseline of compensation for Illinois pastors and staff.   It will only take five to eight minutes to complete; however, the information is essential for thousands of churches, including your own — which makes the survey worth the effort.

It benefits the pastors and church staff member’s families directly.   Most of us do not like to negotiate salary; the survey gives ministers valuable knowledge concerning the compensation of similar churches in: size, budget, and attendance.  In addition, GuideStone’s compensation survey customizes the data to include factors such as: the ministers his years of experience and his education.  Certainly, this information will be valuable to someone seeking a new ministry. It is for these reasons we are asking you to take the survey now — follow the link below.

The Church Renewal Journey experience

Lay Renewal Weekends offer churches a way seek to grow in Christ and reach others for Him. The weekends provide an opportunity for churches to re-awaken to their purpose and passion, and are the first step in the five-part Church Renewal Journey.

The weekends, which are led by trained lay renewal volunteers, begin on Friday with small group times for church members. Saturday sessions include both small and large group sessions.

The wrap-up session on Sunday is the morning worship service with songs and testimonies only. On Sunday night, the church holds an evaluation session to reflect on the weekend and begin steps to turn ideas and plans into action.

For information, contact IBSA Church Renewal Coordinator Mark Shipley at (309) 361-3566, e-mail shipleymark@comcast.net or visit www.churchrenewaljourney.net.
