Student Evangelism Ministry

Your Student Evangelism Ministry of IBSA exists to provide resources and training for those who work with teenagers within the local churches of Illinois, as well as equip students to become missionaries to their "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth". Our goals are simple:

1. Provide relevant training for both the paid and volunteer youth worker
2. Partner with you in ministry to your church and community
3. Provide state-wide events that train students (Super Summer) and encourage the lost to Christ (Youth Encounter)
4. Listen to your needs, your hurts, your ideas and your concerns

We do this by focusing on three purposes:

1. Knowing God
2. Owning the Faith
3. Making Him Known to the World

N the Know

N the Know

N the Know is our E-newsletter for any and all youth leaders, ministers or pastors. This is a great tool for all youth workers to be kept "in the know." It is filled with information on everything going on at IBSA for Student Ministry and provides tons of great resources and tools for you!

If you would like to begin receiving this newsletter contact Barb Halleman at BarbaraHalleman@IBSA.org or call (217) 391-3127.

Family Ministries

The position of Family Minister is a fairly new concept in most churches, but Family Ministry is as foundational as the church. Our goal at IBSA is to change the mindset of churches from a "Minister to the Families" to a "Ministry with the Families". The difference between these two statements is that the first puts the responsibility of ministry on the church; the latter puts the responsibility on the parents. Your Family Ministries team of IBSA exists to provide training and resources to strengthen families. We want to give to parents the tools they need to "train up their children in the way they should go." We want to give to spouses the encouragement they need to last for the long haul, and we want to give to churches the resources they need as they partner with the family in bringing up generations that will follow them.

Please share with us ways that we can help your church in this endeavor!
