A blue ribbon school with outstanding academics and athletics, over 95% of students test above national average on Iowa tests and 40% of graduates are placed in freshman honors or advanced high school classes.

We are credited with more state and national basketball tournament appearances than any other Lutheran school and have strong technology, arts and music programs. We also  school-sponsored activities to nurture the gifts and interests of Immanuel students.

Athletics
Immanuel offers team sports in the following areas: basketball, cheerleading, cross country, track and volleyball. Chapel Band
If you enjoy performing, you're gonna love this! Every Wed. morning, the entire school gathers for chapel and it's up to students to lead worship in music and song!

Broadcasting - ILS TV15
We're live on the air! Immanuel students have their own closed-circuit television station! On ILS15, students produce their own programming, including announcements and feature stories! They write stories, direct broadcasts, read articles and operate equipment! Open to all middle school students.

National Junior Honor Society
Immanuel prides itself on academic excellence with students continually demonstrating exceptional ability in their years here and beyond. Students in grades 7-8 demontrating impressive achievements receive invitation to join the NJHS.

Spanish
¿Usted habla español? We offer several levels of Spanish for grades 6-8 and after-school programs for grades K-5. Students begining second language education at an early age often show increased levels of retention in high school and later years.

Science Club
Explore the natural world! How do fish breathe under water? Find out how electricity makes a light bulb glow! What causes seasons to change? Learn all about science in a fun and innovative way! K-8.

Strategic Games Club
Experince the great battles of history like never before! Using historically accurate miniatures, students compete in team-based games simulating the great conflicts of the past. Open to students
in grades 5-8.

Student Government
Make a difference through student government! Students can either run for office or join as a non-elected member where they work to improve Immanuel and the community-at-large through fundraisers, service projects and special activities. Open to
grades 6-8.
