Steve Cagle has been organist at Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church since January 2003. A native of Atlanta, Ga., he holds a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he studied organ and harpsichord with Paul Jenkins. He also served as organist for Stetson’s Concert Choir and University Chorus. Steve did his graduate work at the University of Michigan, where he studied with Robert Glasgow, earning a Master of Music degree in organ performance in 1981.  Prior to moving to North Carolina in November 2001, he served for 20 years as Minister of Music and organist at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He also was a page designer and copy editor at the Ann Arbor (Michigan) News for 20 years, serving as editor of the food and travel sections.  Steve resides in Greenville and is Features Editor at The Daily Reflector.
