Epworth has been helping children for over 140 years. Currently, the focus is on children who come from backgrounds of abuse and neglect, those who have serious emotional and behavioral problems, and children who simply have no parents.

Founded in 1864 by a group of Methodist women dedicated to rescuing Civil War orphans, Epworth has grown to include programs assisting youth aged birth to 21 in all phases of recovery. Epworth offers strength-based therapy through intensive residential treatment, special education, foster care, independent and transitional living programs, an emergency shelter and family focused therapy. We know that if we dig deep and approach every day with faith, we can uncover the strengths in our children and help them believe in bright futures filled with God's love.
