UMW Circles
Within our local unit of United Methodist Women, we have many unique groups active in mission work and enjoying fellowship. These are the current KUMW circles.
- Dorcas Sewing Group
is made up of women who enjoy fellowship as they make clothing and quilts for babies, children and youth in need. The items produced go to Kingdom House and Shalom House. This group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 309 of the church. Members bring sandwiches and share a dessert.

- Gamma Group
is a circle open to women of all ages for study of social concerns within our local community and beyond. This group meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 10 a.m. in Room 201 of the church. Members take turns with the devotions, program and refreshments. This group puts emphasis on mission outreach and lends support by providing one meal quarterly at Shalom House and by visits with shut-ins.

- Reading Circle
is the group to join if you are "hooked on books" and would like to join a compatible group of women who read and discuss a variety of literature. They meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m., usually in the church lounge. Coffee and pastries are enjoyed while UMW news is shared and the book is discussed. Reading Circle has a project to provide toilette articles to Shalom House. Interesting books and discussions are coming up ... plan to join the readers!

- Working Women
meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Room 201 of the church. This diverse group has a variety of programs to help meet the needs of working women, including those working full-time or part-time; in paid or volunteer work; and those between positions. Devotions, programs and refreshments are provided by the membership for each meeting. Working Women goals are to grow spiritually and mentally, to provide an opportunity for fellowship and connection, and to give moral support when needed.
