OBJECTIVES

To help the child to:

1. Develop a sense of "self"
2. Relate to others socially and respect the feelings and rights of others as part of a group
3. Develop problem-solving and decision-making skills
4. Experience a non-threatening environment so that he/she can develop a habit of success
5. Organize his/her own time

Rule of thumb for academic skills development: new skills may be introduced if the child shows an interest.  The child will attempt the skill when ready.

The only thing that is structured in our school is the environment - not the children or the program.
