FUN RING for teens!
Tuesday, August 21, there will be a Fun Ring for teens who want to try ringing handbells and perhaps join Sforzando, our Teen Bell choir. You don’t have to know how to read music to join this group. We’ll be going over the basics on Tuesday, in the choir rehearsal room from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
Fill out a Sforzando registration card in the courtyard so we can have some idea of who is coming. You are invited to bring a friend. If you’re going to be in the Confirmation Program you get service points for participating in Sforzando.
If you’re in high school, you can use your Sforzando hours for Community Service points. But most of all, you’ll have a great time while learning music to play at worship services.
If you decide to join, you will have to commit to Tuesday evening rehearsals from 6:30 to 7:30. If you have any questions, Contact Marcy Hontz at 480-948-1234 ex1605.

This handbell group is for those who have had prior experience in handbell choirs. The group practices each week and provides music for worship approximately once per month and at festival worship services.
Regular attendance at practice and a weekend schedule that will allow you to participate in worship is vital.
Chime Choir
REHEARSAL: Wednesday - from 5:00 to 6:00pm.
AGE: 5th and 6th grades
|
We use handchimes rather than handbells with our younger children because they are lighter and easier to handle than bells. The techniques are the same, so playing chimes prepares them to play bells as they mature.
Would you like to be in this picture for the 2007-2008 season? Sign-ups will begin in August.

Teens, would you like to join this fun group? For more information, contact Marcy Hontz, at 480-948-1234 ext. 1605. New activities are always being planned.

This group is for our young adults, especially those who are beginning ringers. Basic instruction in ringing techniques is given at the beginning of the year, so each rehearsal at the early part of the season is vital!
Members must commit to regular attendance at practice and be prepared to play at worship as scheduled.

Some of the more experienced ringers in Sforzando wanted a challenge so they began working on ensemble style ringing during the summer of 2006.
