Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is nominated each year by the Nominating Committee and voted on by the Congregation. Current members serve until December 31, 2007.
2008 Board of Trustees Nominees
Ted Cole - Ted and his family have been members of La Casa de Cristo since 1997. His faith journey has taken him through the men’s PHD program, Cursillo, serving on the Men’s Ministry retreat team, as an adult leader in the High School Ministry, and as a mentor for young men. Ted currently is vice president of channel sales for ADTRAN in their Enterprise Networks division. His focus is in setting strategy and growing the division’s sales.
Peter Faur (returning) - Peter Faur has a master’s degree in journalism and in business administration, and was at one time the religion editor for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. He has worked for 25 years in public relations and media relations, most recently as vice president for corporate communications at Phelps Dodge. At church, Peter teaches in the adult education program. He became a member of La Casa de Cristo in 2004.
Frank Heldt (returning) - Frank Heldt is the president of Heldt Lumber Company, a 53 year-old business selling lumber and building materials. He is an active member of the board of directors of several Christian charity organizations: Southwest Leadership Foundation; The Bridge, a ministry the church is active in and supports; and Christians in Commerce. At church, Frank is a PHD graduate, participated in Alpha as a leader, as well as the Purpose Driven Life study the congregation did together, and he belongs to a men’s discipleship group. Frank has been a member of La Casa de Cristo since 1975, has guided our various building projects, and has served on the Board of Trustees since 2000.
Ron Meister - Ron recently retired from 32 years with Medtronic, working in the areas of product development and manufacturing. He remains involved with the Community Links Board of Medtronic to allocate funds to local charities. In addition, Ron is the U.S. Volunteer Coordinator for Helping Hands in Africa and is a member of their U.S. Board of Directors. Ron and his family joined La Casa de Cristo in 1982. Through the years he has served in a number of roles, including Sunday School Teacher, Church Council, Christmas Angel Tree committee, the Bridge, and as leader of the South Africa mission trip in 2007. Ron currently leads the newly established La Casa Missions Team.
Doug Schoenoff (returning) - Doug Schoenoff is a CPA and the vice president of internal audit for Hypercom Corporation, a Phoenix-based global manufacturer of secured electronic payment transaction hardware and software. He is responsible for insuring that the company maintains sound worldwide accounting and financial controls and good corporate governance practices. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Arizona. At church, he is active in Hombres de Cristo and has participated in Alpha and the Purpose Driven Life study. A member of La Casa de Cristo since 1988, Doug has been serving on the Board of Trustees since 2003 in the capacity of treasurer.
Alisa Timm (returning) - Alisa Timm has worked in property management for over 20 years, both for an insurance company and for the company she formed with her husband. She has served on the Scottsdale School District Bond Oversight committee for rebuilding of schools. At church, she has been active in both youth and adult ministries, and stewardship programs. Alisa became a member of La Casa de Cristo in 2006.
David Ulibarri (returning) - David Ulibarri is director of development for ReMax Achievers Realty. At church he was instrumental in establishing our Hombres de Cristo ministry. He is a men’s discipleship leader, an adult ed teacher, and participated in the Purpose Driven Life study. David has been a member of La Casa de Cristo since 1984 and has served on the Board of Trustees, focusing on the development of La Sagrada Familia mission, since 2004.
