Confirmation - 2007-2008

WHAT IS CONFIRMATION?

Confirmation is a pastoral and educational ministry of the Church which helps the baptized child through Word and Sacrament to identify more deeply with the Christian community and to participate more fully in its mission.

At confirmation, a person

  • makes his/her confession of faith,
  • makes his/her commitment to Jesus Christ, and
  • makes his/her commitment of service to and involvement in the Church and its programs.

WHAT IS CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTION?

A course of study in the Bible and in Martin Luther's Small Catechism which is designed to prepare a person to make his/her confession of faith and commitment to Christ.
