Welcome Visitors

Greetings from Fr David Hulsof

Welcome to Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Branson.  On behalf of the Catholic community of Branson, Missouri, I want to personally welcome you to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.  We feel blessed that you have taken the time to worship with us and be a part of our faith community

Southwest MIssouri is approximately 5% Catholic and our Branson parish is comprised of about 500 active families.  On any given weekend around 2500 pople attend Mass with about 2/3 of them being visitors just like you.  Every week, we have a 'new' group of parishioners, or as we like to say "Parishioners for a Day"

We knew it would be important to build a large church to accommodate and make welcome our many guests in the Branson area.  As you might imagine, the upkeep of this church would be a great burden on our local parishioners.  However, visitors just like you have always given generously when the collection basket comes, using the green envelopes in the pew racks.  This act of charity has helped us to pay our mortgage as well as maintain and improve this beautiful church home.

As we plan for our future, I pray that you will read these words of welcome and continue the generous tradition of past visitors to our church who come from all over the USA and other countries as well!  As the pastor of Our Lady of the Lake, it is always wonderful for me to look out over the congregation gathered and see the universal face of Jesus Christ.

Thank you in advance for your gift and I pray your visit is refreshing and your journey home is safe.  God bless you and hurry back to your 'second parish'.
