Parents' Day Out (PDO)

Parents’ Day Out (PDO) is a program available at Ladue Chapel for small children and their parents. The children come to play in a safe, nurturing environment while their parents get to take a break. The program is designed to allow parents the opportunity to run errands, participate in an exercise program, go to lunch, or whatever might seem enjoyable at the time. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and Tuesday-Thursday.

PDO is a “loosely structured” program operating with a defined set of objectives.  The children are involved in many activities occurring on a regular basis.  Since PDO is not an educational program, structured academic activities are not planned. Enrichment activities are incorporated into the program on a weekly basis as a means of stimulating curiosity and developing interest.

PDO begins the second week of September and continues through May.

An Open House is held each September. Parents and children are encouraged to attend in order to become acquainted with the teachers, policies and the facility.

PDO has the capacity to accept a total of 20 children per day.  A waiting list will be available if the program fills. As openings occur, families will be notified and welcomed to fill the available slots.  A registration fee is required upon sign-up.
