Karen Van Galder is a Wisconsin native who has lived in many other places.  She has served Presbyterian churches in Highland Park, Illinois; Colorado Springs; Greenville, South Carolina; Pittsburgh; Indianapolis; Jacksonville, Florida; and, most recently, Gulfport, Mississippi.

Karen received her B.A., with a major in chemistry, from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and a M.A. in Christian Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.  She has received an Ed.D. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a Certified Director of Christian Education.

When she is not working, Karen loves to cook, sew, craft and work out.  In addition, she makes time to play with her Jack Russell, Jake. 

Karen directs and oversees all educational components for children and youth of the church, and ministry volunteers working with children from birth through senior high school.
