Breaking Free is a LifeGroup designed to help people overcome life controlling issues. A life controlling issue is anything that masters our life. The ministry staff of Breaking Free look forward to assisting you in reaching your goal of freedom. Pastor Jorge and his wife Patty are both trained in counseling and are committed to providing a safe, confidential, accepting environment for you to thrive and grow. This group will use “The Search for Significance’” by Robert McGee as a text book. In this book you will learn to build your self-worth based on Jesus and no others. You will be able to trace and replace harmful emotions with God's truth, and discover why your quest for meaning has not brough you happiness. If you are struggling with anger, fear, abuse, food addiction, drug addiction, alcohol, or any other life controlling issue, then this LIfeGroup is for you.

| This LIfeGroup will study the life and teachings of Jesus from Matthews Gospel, the most highly regarded and quoted by the early church fathers. Mathew emphasizes how Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament and was the Messiah for both the Jews and Gentiles. The Book of Matthew contains the most extensive collection of Jesus teachings than any other gospel. He opens with Jesus being named "Immanuel" and closes with Jesus' promise that he will be with us to the end of the age. |

Priscilla Shirer will speak on God's abundance, that God's ability empowers our faithfulness. Beth Moore will look into the topic of discernment. In these difficult days it is absolutely essential that we learn to trust the Holy Spirit to enable us to determine what is true and what is false.

In outher ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. This Beth Moore study will dive into the book of James to see what God has to say about topics such as: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility and prayer.
