Background

Associate Pastor Kathy McFarland is a graduate of Emory University - Candler School of Theology and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Masters Certificate specializing in Project Management from George Washington University. She comes with 22 years of business experience from her first career at Bellsouth.

She was appointed to McKendree, July 1st, 2002 to assume responsibilities as Pastor of Programs and Congregational Care. Ministries under her oversight include Stephen Ministries, Compassion Ministries such as Divorce Care, Grief Share, Cancer support, Compassion for Children and the Congregation Care Network, the Marriage Course, Disciple Bible Studies, the Alpha Program, Bible 101 and 102 Program, McKendree University Program, Membership Class and assimilation, Lay Leadership Training, and the ever expanding Small Group Program. Obviously her current passion is to develop various innovative methods for Christian discipleship and spiritual growth, and to provide care and nurture to those who suffer. Kathy is also a wife and a mother.
