Sonya McMichael joined the McKendree staff on January 29, 2007 as Publications Coordinator. She brings with her 10+ years of experience working in the Christian arena.

Prior to joining the McKendree staff, Sonya served as a Web/Graphics Designer for the First Baptist Church in Cumming. Prior to working for the Baptist Association, she worked for the Assemblies of God in Adrian, Michigan, for almost 10 years. There she assisted the Senior Pastor and his wife with their online ministry, as well as, managed the churches book store, volunteer staff and maintained both the church’s websites.

Sonya’s first priority is her family. She and her husband Don, relocated to Georgia in 2004 from the state of Michigan, where both their extended families live. Don and Sonya have been married for 15 years. Together they have four children. Cristy, 25, lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her dog Apollo. Caleb, 23, lives at home and works as a mechanic at Lake Lanier Islands. Travis, 22, lives at home and works in the manufacturing industry. Ryan, 14, attends West Hall Middle School where he participates in the Academic Team and maintains a 4.0 grade average. Ryan is a huge sports fan.

Sonya has a passion for impacting the lives of believer’s and non-believers through the ministry of publications. She finds her creative gifts to be very rewarding in helping churches reach souls for the kingdom. She hopes to be with the McKendree Family for many years to come, and appreciates the kindness that everyone has shown her.
