Grace and peace in Jesus Christ! As a native of Des Moines, I grew up worshipping and being discipled at Meredith Drive Reformed Church. I attended and graduated from Johnston High School. In 1996 I received my bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa; and in 2003 I graduated from Western Theological Seminary. Coupled with my studies at seminary, I served as a Chaplain at Hope College for three years, leading chapel services, discipling, and offering pastoral care to college students. Currently, I serve on the Board of Trustees at Hope College and the Leadership Alliance Board at Vermeer Corporation and am a writer for the devotional booklet, "Words of Hope." At Meredith Drive I serve as a teaching pastor and oversee Adult Discipleship and the Youth Ministry staff. My husband Shane is a licensed therapist at Wadle & Associates. We give God thanks for the gifts of our four sons: Samuel, Will, Owen, and Wesley. |

My prayer is to be like the person the psalmist describes in chapter 1, "Blessed is the person whose delight is in God's law and on his law they meditate day and night. They are like a tree firmly planted by streams of water which yields it's fruit in season." My passion is to help grow followers of Jesus Christ –apprentices to the Master. The call on our lives is to love God and talk about God - everywhere and anywhere. We are to be ready to speak up –writes the Apostle Peter- and tell anyone who asks why we’re living the way we are. To help people to see what God has already done. To be so connected to Jesus Christ that bearing fruit just happens. |
