Wee Worship

Wee-Worship

Our Focus:

Our mission is to provide a loving, caring and safe environment in which our preschoolers can learn and grow to love and serve God. We understand that children learn more effectively through relationships of love, trust, and acceptance than any other way. Even small infants begin forming attitudes and concepts that affect their spiritual and emotional growth. We believe that, as they grow and learn, preschoolers are capable of worship, and they want to have fun. Ultimately, we desire to see all children grow as Jesus did, “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)

Our Key Principles:

The following three Key Principles are the foundational building blocks that we feel every preschooler should know:

* God made me
* God loves me
* He wants to be my friend forever

We weave these principles into every aspect of our Sunday Morning Worship time. They are reinforced in the Sunday School lessons during small group activities, through “teachable moments” at play, and through child-friendly songs.

If you would like more information about the Preschool Ministry, or would like to find out how you can volunteer to teach our little ones about Jesus, please contact Lou Ann Upchurch at 747-5825 or by email at louann@mid-way.com.

Our Leaders:

In order to provide a safe environment for our preschoolers, we have teacher to child ratios established for each age group. We require a large amount of teachers each hour in order to provide a safe and effective learning environment. We have teachers who are passionate about the children, and love teaching them about the Bible in small group settings. We also have a Parent Teaching Ministry (PTM) for the birth to K5 children where the parents and church members partner with us and assist in the classrooms on a rotating basis.

Our Programming:

Preschoolers want to have fun! They want to wiggle and giggle and they want to worship. We have LIFE group (Sunday School) with small group settings for all of our preschoolers. We have an excellent, Biblically based curriculum that is used throughout our preschool, from birth up to Kindergarten. In addition, Wee Worship is a Sunday morning preschool worship time at 9:40am for toddlers and two year olds on the Jonah Hall and for three - five year olds on the Noah Hall that is interactive and fun with singing, puppets, Bible stories , and crafts. Our goal is to teach every child that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their best friend forever.

AWANA

Why do hundreds of thousands of kids attend Awana Clubs every week? Awana is fun! That's the bottom line for most kids. Of course, they're learning and growing while they're having fun.

Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people! Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material.  Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. In a world desperate for high standards of morality and ethics, Awana uses the BIble to teach children to honor God and their fellow human beings.
