God is our focus and our only audience.
- Sanctuary open from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm Wednesday night
- Private, small group and corporate prayer and Scripture reading
- Come and go as the Holy Spirit leads you
Our Wednesday night "prayer meeting" is probably a little different from other "prayer meetings" that you've been to before. First, we call it Wednesday Night Worship. We call it this because the point of gathering together is to worship our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and our Comforter, the Holy Spirit, through prayer.
When we gather together as a church in prayer, our desire is to honor and glorify God, to become a people and a place of prayer, to talk more to God than to each other, and to talk about God (praise) more than we talk about ourselves (petition).
We open our doors at 6:00 pm and our prayer leaders will be around until 8:30 pm. You are welcome to come and go as the Holy Spirit leads you. A prayer sheet is available to use and to take with you.
When you first come in, we would encourage you to spend some time in quiet meditation, preparing your heart for the work of God in your own life. The front screens will have Scripture passages and inspirational quotations to direct your thoughts.
We would encourage you to worship God as He directs you. There is no set program, no set time, no set prayers, no set devotional - just time with the Lord in prayer. You are encouraged to join into a small group to pray, or to form a small group to pray, or to come to the front and lead in prayer, or to come to the front and read Scripture, or to ask a leader to pray with you – they are up front. If you would like to read Scripture, a Bible has been placed up front on the podium. We want God’s Word to lead us in prayer – we ask you to read it, not to preach or comment on it.
God is our focus and our only audience. Follow the Spirit’s guidance in your worship, even if you’ve never been in a prayer meeting like this before.
