The purpose of the Academic Enrichment Committee is to create and support special academic opportunities for Saint Thomas More students in the classroom and during out-of-school hours. Some of our projects include:
Reading Rainbow Young Writers Competition – A contest for writers/illustrators in the 2nd grade.
Jr. Great Books – An after-school literature enrichment program that promotes critical thinking
Science Nights – Kids and parents share a fun evening of hands-on science experiments
Math Superstars/Math Counts – Math enrichment programs led by teachers or volunteers during class time
After-School Chess Club – An afternoon chess program for all levels led by a local chess master
Geography Bee, Battle of the Books, and Writer-in-Residence (a 5th grade program).
HSA Board Meetings Monthly HSA meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from September through May.
All parents are invited to attend!
