Youth Groups Rock!

Rocky Mount UMC youth ministry is a place that God can meet students in a way that they understand. We attempt to show God’s love to students in a way that they have never seen.
It’s hard sometimes to hear God from a student’s perspective. With the way the world is today, there are many ways to be distracted. God has called youth to follow Him since the beginning.
Our goal is to show students who God is, to let Him be known and to grow as youth for God’s purpose and will. The Youth Ministry of Rocky Mount welcomes all students from 6-12 grades.

We have two different groups of students, middle school 6-8 grades and the high school 9-12 grades. Sunday night programs, trips, events, Bible study and service are all things that both groups take part in.

High School Youth
The High School youth ministry of Rocky Mount now includes grades 9-12. This is the first year that this is done. Before, the youth group was 7-12 grades.
Being apart from the middle school makes it a better environment for High School students to better relate to God and what He is saying. We will be meeting from 6:30-8 on Sunday nights!!!

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
*November 1st Golf Tournament (youth Fundraiser)
*December 12th Christmas Party

Middle School Youth
This year Rocky Mount UMC’s Youth Ministry will have its own Middle School Ministry, 6th-8th grades! This is the first year ever to have middle school and high school groups meeting at different times. Middle school now meets 5:00-6:30 on Sunday nights!!!
Middle school students think, play, socialize, learn and deal with life in so many different ways than high school students. We intend on meeting middle school students where they are, seeing things how they see them, and teaching them in a way that they will learn God’s plan for them.
