Prayer Ministries
|
Our relationship with Christ is kept vibrant and alive through prayer. We know that the life of our congregation is under girded by the prayers of our people. Prayer is the time for us to honestly and openly share with God our hopes and fears, our joys and concerns. We pray as a whole church, and individually, through programs like our regular prayer guides, devotionals, prayer retreats and prayer groups.

Intercessory Prayer Group
... for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples. Isaiah 56:7
By our Lord’s command we are called to prayer. Praying for Others is a group that meets each Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the church library. We pray for those in authority, the ministers and staff, the church, concerns of the church and the needs of others. Please join us any Thursday at the appointed time, or call the Church Office for further information, 770-993-6316. All are welcome in this house of prayer.

Prayers and Squares
Prayers & Squares is an interfaith outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. The purpose of Prayers & Squares is not to make and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the gift of these quilts. Contact Betsy Wade.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Participants prayerfully knit and crochet shawls and lap afghans to be presented to the grieving, the ill, the lonely and those in need of God's comfort. All levels of experience are invited. Donations of yarn are also welcome. Meets on Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m., CLB 246. Contact Ann Cook.

Advent/Lenten Devotional Books
We invite devotional insights and memoreis on a given theme for our devotionals from individual members or families. These books are used by members as part of their daily devotional times to focus on God. The readings enhance our understanding of the meanings of each season from the personal perspective.
