The Rev. B. Townsend Waddill, III - Rector

On July 1, 2008, Fr. Townsend Waddill was called to be the new rector of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Fr. Townsend was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, and has been active in the Episcopal since the age of 5. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and an MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He is a licensed CPA and worked in private practice and state government before attending seminary at Nashotah House starting in the fall of 2005. His hobbies are racketball, golf, and playing keyboard instruements. He is married to Lisa Martin Waddill, and they have a son, Benjamin, and a second son on the way.
The Rev. Cindy Obier, Deacon-in-residence

Deacon Cindy was ordained September 13, 2003. She serves at The Chapel of the Transfiguration, Angola State Penitentiary and at St. Margaret’s, Baton Rouge. She has worked in prison ministry since 1996. She is appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Disability Affairs. As an architect and supervisor of plan review at The Office of the State Fire Marshal, she teaches architects and engineers to design and build facilities which accommodate persons with disabilities. She is married to Bob Obier and they have 2 dogs and a cat (Buddy, Roux, and Spat).
