The Bridge (formerly CARES Outreach) provides sanctuary to homeless persons in the Downtown area.  In addition to a place to rest during the day, clients have access to restrooms, hygiene items, phone services, computers, mail service, and support.  The Bridge serves lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Sunday through Thursday.  Volunteers from Salem are needed to prepare serve meals twice a month.  All are invited to come help serve a meal to those in need on the 1st Sunday and the 4th Friday of the month.   If you are able to help out on either of these dates, please contact Kathy Farache.
