Run for God began here at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian last fall, but we have another class beginning on January 28th!! The group will meet each Monday in the Lighthouse at 6:30 PM. We have over 50 people signed up thus far!
Run for God is part Bible study and part training program. The primary goal is to learn to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while understanding the parallels of running and faith. Participants can potentially run their first 5k in just 12 weeks! And you will learn how the sport of running relates to your faith.
Run for God is for all ages and all levels of runners; families are encouraged to participate together. Whether you are young or old, an experienced runner or have never run in your life, this is a program for you!

Walking
Walking is a great exercise and conveniently available in a safe environment at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian. For the walker who likes temperature control or wants to stay dry on a rainy day, it is 16 1/2 laps per mile around the gym.
If you enjoy and prefer strolling in the great outdoors, it is three laps per mile around the church parking lot of the Total Life Center (Main Building) to the front side of the church (sanctuary side). You can walk the entire property at two laps per mile by going from the front of the church all the way around the rear of the Light House. Get a partner or group together and start walking on a regular basis. This is a great time to exercise, meditate and have prayer with God.
