The Reverend William Alexander “Bill” Green served Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington, SC for fourteen years.  He did God's work in ministering to others via preaching and missions work until he went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14th, 2009, following a battle with a blood disorder called “myelodysplastic syndrome” (MDS).  Bill earned degrees from Austin College Sherman, TX; St. Mary’s Law School, San Antonio, TX; and Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, Virginia. Bill was extremely active in a number of local ministries including the Lexington Interfaith Community Services, Keep Every Youth Safe – Lexington, Habitat for Humanity, and the various ministries of Trinity Presbytery.  His work extended throughout the world in places such as Sudan, Peru, and Costa Rica.
