Kids Learn & Grow
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.  Matthew 18:2-5

Vacation Bible School
Summer brings the sounds of laughter, singing, and loads of fun with Vacation Bible School. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children as well as adults to fellowship together and have a lot of fun while learning about Jesus' love for us all. Our program at Sharon has grown in the past few years to around 150 children and at least 100 volunteers. Click here to register.
Communicants' Class
Each spring, our church holds a Communicants’ Class for children in the 7-8 year old age range (or older) and their parents. The purpose of the Communicants’ Class is to introduce the meaning and significance of the Lord’s Supper to the children. During our time together, the children and their parents participate in four different learning centers and visit the sacristy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the sacraments, and some additional resources that may be used at home are introduced. At the end of the afternoon, each child meets with an elder to discuss his or her understanding of the Lord’s Supper. After receiving the approval of the Session, the children are formally welcomed to the table at a designated service.

Congrats to Pack 34s most recent Eagle Scouts:

#107  John Shealy
Eagle Project:  Re-landscaping of the area between the Chapel and Education Building at SPC.

#108  Nathan Brown
Eagle Project:  Constructed duck habitat boxes for the North Carolina Wild Life Federation, near the Lake Norman shoreline.   “I learned in Freshman biology that the duck population is in jeapordy, which affects the health and balance of the lake and all the plants and animals around it.  I did my own research, discovered it is more dramatic here that we had even learned, and contacted the NC Wildlife Federation.”

#109  Jed Sander
Eagle Project:  Rebuild a storage building for Richardson Rescue Animal Shelter in SC that burned.  “I read about it in the newspaper – the shelter was in a fire, is in a tough location, and I could tell they were going through hard times.  I worked with the shelter and the council office for plans and approvals.”

#110  Brysen Barnette
Eagle Project:  Rebuild train on playground at SPC.  “This project was personal to me.  My mom teaches at preschool, we go to Sharon, and I played on that playground a lot as a kid.

#111 Lee Kromer
Eagle Project:  replanting around the SPC Education building for safety.

Children's Choir
5:00 - 6:00pm Sundays, Choir Rm
For Children grades 1 to 5..  Get ready for FUN!  Together, we learn about music through playing instruments and singing at our weekly rehearsals.  We lead music worship at the 10:30 Sunday service about once a month.  And most importantly, we build relationships with one another and form community with God at our center.  Feel free to bring a friend.  Contact: Allison Schommer, Director of Youth Music,
